Light Bomber Aircraft A-26 Invader
In 1944 the A-26 Invader was introduced to service of the United States Air Force. The A-26 was designed as a ground attack, light bomber with two radial engines Pratt & Whitney. The aircraft was deployed in both Pacific and Europe during the Second World War but the aircraft was not retired at the end of war. After the war the A-26 was still in service, the aircraft was used in the Korean War by the USAF and later it was in service for the CIA. Eventually the aircraft was retired in 1980 with two and a half thousand aircraft built over it`s lifespan.
