Romanian Second World War Legend IAR 80
The IAR 80 was a Romanian World War II fighter aircraft which was designed as a low-wing monoplane with a retractable landing gear. The aircraft made its first flight in 1939, it was powered by a single radial engine which allowed to recharge speeds ove 500 km/h. The aircraft was armed with a combination of machine guns and cannons and was used in combat on the Eastern Front against the Soviet Union. A total of around 450 IAR 80 aircrafts were produced.
