Sikorsky CH-37 Mojave was a twin-engine heavy-lift helicopter which represented a significant leap forward in vertical lift capability and played a crucial role in expanding what military helicopters could accomplish. With its two powerful Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engines, the CH-37 could lift up to an impressive maximum payload of 6000kg pounds and could carry up to 26 troops. The service for the helicopter started with the U.S. Marine Corps in 1956. With only 154 helicopters made the Mojave helicopter ended its service in late 1960s.
