Germany's Super-Bomber

Designed by Adolf Busemann and built by the Zeppelin company at their Staaken facility, the Zeppelin-Staaken R.VI was one of the largest aircraft of its era. With a wingspan exceeding 138 feet and a length of nearly 73 feet, it was a true giant. The aircraft could carry up to 4,400 pounds of bombs—an enormous load for the time—and boasted a remarkable range that allowed it to reach distant targets across Europe.
