Monoplane ELECTRA

The Model 10 had its introduction in 1935 and was meant to compete with DOUGLAS DC-2 and the BOEING 247. Electra was designed and build by the Lockheed Corporation with all metal construction and only 149 aircrafts were built. The aircraft was mainly used as airliner, but some variations of the Model 10 were used by the military in the Second World War. The aircraft is also known thanks to Amelia Earhart who owned a variant of the aircraft, Model 10E. Unfortunately Amelia Earhart disappeared in this aircraft in 1937.
