Czechoslovakia's Forgotten Fighter Avia BH-9
Designed in the 1930s, the BH-9 was a fighter that prioritized speed and climbing ability. With its streamlined fuselage and powerful engine WALTER NZ 60, it could outmaneuver many of its contemporaries and reach impressive altitudes for its era. Unfortunately the aircraft never got its chance to truly shine in combat. Many were captured by the Germans, who recognized their quality and repurposed them for their own use.
