Anti Submarine Aircraft the Short Sturgeon
The Short Sturgeon was developed by Short Brothers, a British aircraft manufacturer known for their seaplanes. Designed during the mid-war period, the aircraft was conceived as a high-speed reconnaissance aircraft and potential torpedo-bomber for the Royal Navy. Its sleek, twin-engine design powered by the Rolls Royce MERLIN promised speed and range. Unfortunately only twenty eight aircrafts were ever built and only few prototypes have been deployed during the war.
